Manager Compensation & Benefits / HR Shared Services Europe – Sappi Europe – Brussels

Purpose of the job:
In this role you will report to the HR Vice-President Europe – Europe (based in Brussels).
You will be responsible to:
• to ensure in close cooperation with the SEU HR Leadership effective market competitive compensation & benefits policies, processes and standards in support of the European business and overall HR strategy.
• You will provide pan-European & Brussels head-office advice and operational support on all aspects of remuneration and benefits.
• You will lead and ensure effective and efficient HR Shared Service Centre service delivery across Europe.
• You will steer and lead HR IT system- and process related improvements through HRIS Business Process Engineer and SEU HR stakeholders within strategic Global HR IT strategy.
• You will drive the continuous improvement of European HR / SSC / C&B processes (efficiency, effectiveness).

Your profile:
• You have a Higher education (Master degree) in Human Resources Management, Finance / Business Management or equivalent;
• You have 8-10 years of relevant work experience with a sound track record of success and achievement in C&B / operational HR roles;
• You have in-depth knowledge of Belgian social security and tax legislation;
• You have preferably experience with managing international mobility and are familiar with the Belgian tax regime for non-residents (“expats”)
• You have demonstrated a good balance between conceptual skills & experience and “passion” for hands-on operational delivery;
• You have proven your ability to lead, and motivate others;
• You have project management experience and have managed total work systems, demonstrated on-time delivery and achievement of objectives;
• You have proven your ability to apply Continuous Improvement methodology with impact;
• You are able to organise engaging communication to different target groups by being an engaging leader and change driver;
• You have business acumen, perspective and holistic view and demonstrated organisational agility;
• You have demonstrated personal flexibility, you are open and receptive and an excellent listener;
• You maintain excellent stakeholder and peer relationships;
• You are comfortable around higher management;
• Fluency in English is required as well as ideally in both Dutch and French. Good German skills is a preferable plus.
• You are able to travel occasionally within Europe including nights away.
